Hotell Hackspett is a 1-person hotel in Vasaparken park in central Västerås, located in the crown of an oak tree 13 metres above the ground.
Out in Lake Mälaren is the unique Utter Inn, a 2-person hotel three metres below water level, where guests can rub shoulders with the lake’s pikes.
These two unusual hotels were created by Västerås artist Mikael Genberg. His latest project is to put a house on the moon.
